Bernd Stange's goal for his first full campaign in charge of Belarus was clear: to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. But after taking 13 points from ten games – all but one of that tally by beating Kazakhstan and Andorra – they finished fourth in Group 6, giving the German coach plenty to reflect upon.
