Scott Brown is a good lad and doesn't need reined in, says Celtic boss Tony Mowbray

Oct 17 2009 Hugh Keevins TONY MOWBRAY last night cleared Scott Brown's name and denied Celtic had problems with the £4m man's off-field conduct. The Hoops manager confirmed no disciplinary action was necessary following allegations that Brown had been drunk and disorderly in an English holiday resort while on a two-week break to rest his damaged ankle. The midfielder is expected to be in the team today against Motherwell at Celtic Park with no stain on his character as far as his boss is concerned. Mowbray said: "I'm not trying to be flippant about Scott but I didn't have to rein him in when he was my player at Hibs. "I don't think he has a major issue when it comes to his behavious.
