Mowbray backs Brown after alleged theme park row

There are no problems there' • Smith pleased by Mendes's Portugal call-up Celtic's manager, Tony Mowbray, has insisted his influential midfielder Scott Brown is not a liability after he was involved in an alleged drunken row at the Alton Towers theme park seven days ago. The 24-year-old, who was reported to have clashed with another visitor hours after Scotland lost to Japan, has attracted criticism for his performances this season, admittedly while playing with an injured ankle.
