Government Adopts Emergency Plan for Returnees From DRC

Luanda — The government passed on Thursday an emergency programme for the support of Angolan citizens repatriated from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), that will focus on reception, sheltering and transportation to the respective families, ANGOP has learnt. The plan comprises medical assistance, handing out of food, clothes and hygiene means, re-settlement and professional reintegration, says a communiqué from the extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet Council, summoned by President José Eduardo dos Santos. It also foresees the registration of repatriated people for the storing of personal data and verification of the nationality, as well as actions of epidemiological vigilance and notification of transmissible diseases and potential endemic illnesses....
