Staff Report NORWALK Staff Report The CT United Ride, the largest annual Sept. 11 tribute in the state, hit the road Sunday from Norwalk for the ninth time. An estimated 1,500 motorcycles with police escorts rode through 10 cities and towns in tribute to those heroes of Sept. 11, 2001. The opening ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m. when Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., Rep. Jim Himes, D-4, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, Mayor Richard A. Moccia and special guest speaker Marc Gonsalves kicked them off. The riders rumbled out of Norden Industrial Park (10 Norden Place) at about 11:30 a.m. and down Route 136 to Route 33 in Westport, then up Route 7 through Wilton, and onto Route 107 in Georgetown, and on up Route 58 into Redding.
