Police treating tower block blaze as suspicious

Six people, including a baby and two children killed after fire swept through flats in Camberwell, South London One firefighter said it was the worst blaze he'd seen in 30 years in the Fire Service Police are treating a tower-block blaze, which killed six people including a baby and two children, as suspicious. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, which swept through the 12-storey-block in South London yesterday afternoon. Speaking this morning Chief Superintendent Wayne Chance, of London Metropolitan Police, said the cause of the blaze was ‘suspicious’. The bodies of a six-year-old child, a woman in her 30s and another adult victim, remain in the building, which is now being treated as crime scene.
