Celtic's captaincy candidates for 2009/10

A new broom cleans all and new Celtic boss Tony Mowbray seems keen to stamp his mark on the club as quickly as possibly - and that is no bad thing at all. One obvious way to start would be by looking at Stephen McManus's captaincy, something linked so closely with the Gordon Strachan years that a change may be neccessary if Mowbray is to take the club in a new direction. Mowbray is in a fortunate position. McManus is currently out injured so handing the armband to another player would not have the appearance of 'stripping' the captaincy from Mick; instead, the boss has time to consider all of his options before making a decision.
