BSE up 2 percent in anticipation of new cabinet formation

Despite a pick-up in trading activity, analysts and traders said the market remained in "wait-and-see" mode pending the announcement of a new cabinet before equities can surge. Trading activity was stronger and more broad-based than the previous week, as the total value of traded shares rose 41 percent and traded preferred share value posted a remarkable 650 percent advance to $1.5 million.
