Angola: Government Official Expects Economic Growth in 2009

Luanda — The Minister of Planning, Ana Dias Lourenço, announced Thursday, in Luanda, the Angolan Government is to provide a positive growth of the country's economy, despite the global economic and financial crisis. Ana Dias Lourenço made this statement at the plenary session of the National Assembly, led by the deputy speaker, João Lourenço, in the presence of the Prime Minister, António Paulo Kassoma, for approval, in general, of the Draft Revision of the General State Budget for 2009 and the National Plan.
