Ignore the media, Artur Boruc's staying at Celtic

Tony Mowbray has given the clearest indication yet that goalkeeper Artur Boruc will remain at Celtic beyond the end of the current transfer window. While the red-tops may be using Mowbray's quotes to create headlines such as "Artur Boruc must shape up or ship out, warns Celtic boss" the reality is that the new boss has, for the first time since taking over from Gordon Strachan, suggested the Poland international will retain the number one jersey. Rumours persist that the Holy Goalie will leave before September 1 but, after a largely disappointing season, there does not appear to be the same level of interest as there was last summer - when, for instance, it was claimed Bayern Munich were pondering a £15million offer.
