Biggs is ‘riddled’ with MRSA bug

Great train robber Ronnie Biggs has contracted the MRSA superbug is 'deteriorating' fast in hospital, his son said. The 79-year-old, who was denied parole on Wednesday, could die if he does not respond to current treatment, Michael Biggs warned. He said tests revealed his father was 'riddled' with MRSA which he is believed to have caught before entering hospital following a fall. He is being treated for pneumonia and fractures of the hip, pelvis and spine at a hospital near his prison in Norwich since Sunday.
