Northrop Grumman employee speaks of office place freedoms once taken for granted

NORWALK By CHRIS BOSAK Hour Staff Writer Marc Gonsalves is happy to be walking the hallways at Northrop Grumman Norden Systems in Norwalk. As an employee in the security department, his job to make sure everything is safe and in order at the defense company's building at Norden Place. His life today is a far cry from what it was less than a year ago when security, safety and order were in short supply. Gonsalves is one of three Americans who was rescued from the Colombian jungle on July 2, 2008, after five and a half years of being held hostage by FARC guerillas. His life today consists of freedoms that are so fundamental that Americans can't imagine a life without them.
