10. Teen held for raping mentally disturbed woman

JOHOR BARU: A 16-year-old teenager was arrested for raping a 29-year-old mentally disturbed woman. The incident is believed to have occurred at the suspect’s house at around 3am on Tuesday in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah. It is learnt that the woman, who just had a disagreement with her mother, was making a call to her friend from a public phone when the suspect enticed her into his home. The suspect, who had been queuing up behind her at the phone booth, allegedly molested and raped her in his bedroom before asking her to leave as he claimed his family members were about to return home. The victim later revealed the matter to a friend who went to the suspect’s house and dragged him to the Skudai police station.
