Nato soldiers in Afghanistan are repelling a Taliban assault on a base in the country's east. The International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) said it was dealing with a "significant incident" in Khost province. According to the al-Jazeera news agency, suicide bombers on foot backed up by rocket and small arms fire attacked Camp Salerno overnight.
