Severn man pleads guilty to wire fraud

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) - The U.S. Attorney's Office says a Severn man has pleaded guilty to wire fraud in connection with a plot to defraud a volunteer fire company of $130,000. Thirty-six-year-old Jose Iriarte faces a maximum of 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 25. He entered his plea on Tuesday. According to a plea agreement, Iriarte was a financial advisor at a Bethesda brokerage.
