Last Modified: 19 Aug 2008 Source: PA News The UK is ready to play its "full part" in sending observers to monitor the fragile ceasefire in Georgia, Foreign Secretary David Miliband said. At an emergency meeting of Nato foreign ministers, Mr Miliband will call for the alliance to offer political and practical support for Georgia, and reaffirm its commitment to allow the former Soviet republic to join the organisation in the future. Mr Miliband said Russia's actions in the crisis, prompted by unrest in the separatist Georgian province South Ossetia, were "untenable".
