Road accident leaves two dead, 20 injured in NW China region

URUMQI, Aug.17 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and 20 otherswere injured in a road accident in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region late on Saturday, local police confirmed on Sunday. A van with 23 people on board, including the driver, fell into a gully at a section in the Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County of Xinjiang, when it drove at a bend at about 8:30 p.m. Brake failure was blamed for the cause of the accident.
