The San Jose Earthquakes, the lowest scoring team in Major League Soccer, reacquired midfielder/forward Arturo Alvarez from FC Dallas for a first-round draft pick and allocation money on Monday. Alvarez, 23, has posted three goals and three assists in 16 games this season, his sixth in MLS. But he became expendable because FC Dallas acquired rookie midfielder Bruno Guarda from the Colorado Rapids for second- and third-round picks, plus a partial allocation. "Arturo is a dynamic attacking player who should fit in well with our team," Earthquakes general manager John Doyle said.
