Two Kansas City Toys R Us stores will open at 12:01 a.m. Saturday to sell the latest “Star Wars” toys. The Overland Park store at 11620 W. 95th and the Kansas City store at 8330 N. Broadway will open their doors early Saturday to peddle the latest action figures from the upcoming animated movie, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” Officials at the Broadway location said they didn’t know what toys would be available on Saturday; the store wasn’t scheduled to have the toys in the store until Thursday. The representative also said the Broadway store would close at 9 p.m. on Friday, but fans could line up anytime before midnight. As an extra incentive, Toys R Us is offering an exclusive hologram General Grievous figure or “Clone Wars” poster with a purchase of $30 or more.
