Acle Could Be Fined Thousands SAN DIEGO -- In a closed-door meeting Monday, the San Diego Unified School District discussed what legal action, if any, it can take against trustee Luis Acle. Acle faces a hefty fine for allegedly not paying thousands of dollars to different vendors he worked with during his city council campaign. In addition to not paying those vendors, San Diego's Ethics Commission says that Acle deleted debt information from his campaign records totaling 42 campaign law violations. All of these violations go back to 2005 and 2006 when Acle was running for the district 8 council member seat. He lost to Benjamin Hueso, but the city's Ethics Commission started an investigation.
