The circulation trends at the Carmi Public Library continue to go up and down over the last few years. The staff has hopes that the circulation will move toward an upward trend for the rest of 2008. This year's circulation has been up and down during the first six months. Circulation was mediocre in June even with the Reading Club going on, but the earlier part of the year was up. We are under last year by 144 for the January through June time span. We are very glad that so many citizens of Carmi and the White County area are reading. We also hope that more people will start reading. We will deliver books to those individuals who are shut-in and cannot come to the library. The library is completely handicap accessible.
