Man pleads guilty to escape-related charge in Arkansas

Associated Press - July 21, 2008 10:45 AM ET TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - A man accused in an escape from the Miller County, Arkansas, Jail in which he and another man got loose for two days has pleaded guilty to an escape-related charge. Thirty-5-year-old Charley Lee Langston pleaded guilty on Friday to a federal charge of instigating or assisting escape in connection with the February escape. Langston and 37-year-old Jason Thompson escaped in February through a hole in the Texarkana jail's roof. They were caught two days later in a Texas-side residential neighborhood. He'll be sentenced later. Thompson was being held on a federal bank robbery charge at the time of his escape.
