O2's iPhone pre-order site crashes due to 'high levels' of demand

Customers hoping to pre-order the new iPhone from mobile network O2 have been left disappointed this morning after "incredible demand" forced the company to suspend its upgrade website. O2 had encouraged existing iPhone customers and others who were keen to get their hands on the new Apple phone to pre-register their interest and promised to let them pre-order this morning. Those who pre-order will still have to wait until Friday, the official release date, before receiving their phones. O2's pre-order site has crashed due to 'high levels' of demand However, the company clearly hadn't anticipated the response.
