Six-Party Talks to Resume Thursday

The chief delegates to the six-party talks on North Korea¡¯s nuclear program will meet in Beijing from Thursday until Saturday to discuss phase three of the denuclearization process, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday. "Since there has been significant progress in North Korea's nuclear declaration for phase two of the six-party talks, it will be possible to hold the meeting of chief delegates to discuss the phase-three process,¡± Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said. He added the key issues will be discussed on Thursday and Friday. Two working-group meetings will be held concurrently to discuss energy and economic aid to North Korea, Qin said.
