South Korea-based KTF reportedly interested in investing in Vibo Telecom

Kaddy Chung, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 8 July 2008] Korea Telecom Freetel (KTF), the second largest mobile telecom carrier in South Korea, on July 7 had its representatives talk with Vibo Telecom, an operator of 3G mobile communication services in Taiwan, signaling that KTF is interested in taking a stake in Vibo, according to industry sources in Taiwan. Vibo completed raising additional paid-in capital of NT$5.0 billion from domestic investors in late June 2008, with two existing major shareholders Compal Electronics and Kinpo Electronics equally sharing the amount, the sources indicated.
