iPhone buyers upset over price

Published at 7:20am on 9 July 2008 The wait to find out what Vodafone will charge for the multimedia iPhone is over, but some of the new device's fans are upset it won't be offered on pay-as-you-go terms. Those who want Apple's long-awaited iPhone have to sign a two-year contract with Vodafone, with monthly charges of up to $250 a month, depending on the plan. More than 600 people have signed a petition asking Vodafone to offer the iPhone on pre-pay terms. Technology website owner Philip Roy, who started the petition, says Vodafone's charges for iPhone contracts are expensive compared to what is on offer through other firms in Australia.
