Spanish actress seeks age restrictions at French bullfights

Actress Rossy de Palma demands that spectacles under 16 should not be allowed to attend bullfights and cites a similar ban in Spain. MADRID - The muse of many of Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar's movies has written to French President Nicolas Sarkozy demanding a bar on under-16s attending bullfights, an animal rights charity said Tuesday. Cult actress Rossy de Palma, who appeared in films such as "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown," wrote the demand on behalf of the Spanish chapter of the global Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA), citing a similar ban in her native homeland.
