LONDON, July 6 (UPI) -- The home where British musician Ringo Starr was born should be saved from demolition, fans of the former Beatle say. Beatles Story Director Jerry Goldman, whose attraction also is in the British city of Liverpool, said the home where Starr was born should be saved in a similar manner to the childhood homes of Beatles stars Paul McCartney and John Lennon, The Sunday Times of London reported. "There are those who believe Ringo's birthplace alone is worth keeping," Goldman said. "He was born there, after all, while John and Paul (were) not born in the homes now owned by the National Trust." The National Trust saved both McCartney and Lennon's childhood homes, but the English Heritage historical group has decided not to classify Starr's home as historically valuable.
