The actor explained that he enjoyed getting to know Ledger on the set of The Dark Knight and is disappointed that he was not given a chance to develop their friendship. "He was a fantastic guy, we had a lot of fun on set," Bale revealed. "Yes, he immersed himself into the film completely, but, at the same time, he was so easy-going.
