(AAP Image: Alan Porritt) A man accused of murdering his wife and two grandchildren and attacking his daughter with an axe has appeared in a south-west New South Wales court. The 69-year-old appeared hunched over, unshaven and hard of hearing during his brief appearance at Wagga Wagga Local Court this morning. He appeared via video link from Junee jail, where he has been detained since last Tuesday. The man is accused of murdering his 52-year-old wife, seven-year-old grandson and five-year-old granddaughter and attempting to murder his daughter, a Parkes police officer, at a Cowra house last Monday.
