By KATHY CLEVELAND Staff Writer kcleveland@cabinet.com MILFORD – The town's motorcycle noise crackdown is hurting town businesses, the owner of a cycle shop told selectmen Monday night. Zach Densmore, owner of the Chop Shop on South Street, said enforcement of the 106-decibel limit for motorcycles is ruining his business. His father, Ed Densmore said the shop has lost about $8,000 is business in one month. The crackdown started last year with electronic signs posted on the Route 101A entrances to town. There is now a sign on South Street. "(Motorcyclists) go on the bypass and circumvent the town," Zach Densmore said. "You are telling a part of the population, 'We don't want you.'
