Before George Bush corrupted it, the faith-based initiative was a valuable programme, and Barack Obama is right to support it When the Democratic candidate for president starts talking about expanding the faith-based initiative programme, you know this isn't your father's Democratic party anymore. But, of course, the programme he's talking about isn't your father's faith-based initiative either. So I guess we've just entered a whole new generation of political discourse in America.
