Apex industry associations and the government have set up a think tank to clean up the supply chains and offer rehabilitation to women and children who have been trafficked for labour. The committee, 'Think tank to prevent and combat trafficking in women and children', was formed recently under the chairmanship of secretary, ministry of women and child development. The think tank will hold its first meeting on July 23 to develop an action plan to prevent trafficking.
