MINISTER Ruth Kelly got a wake-up call yesterday — when protesters blasted aircraft noise through her letterbox. Activists with action group Plane Stupid, who want to block a third runway at Heathrow, got to the Transport Secretary’s flat at 7.30am. They played “nuisance” sounds through speakers for 15 minutes before Ms Kelly’s husband Derek Gadd chased them off in London’s Docklands. Activist Tamsin Omond said: “Since Ruth Kelly hasn’t been to West London to hear and breathe the noise and air pollution, Plane Stupid wanted to bring nuisance noise to her doorstep.” Protesters also pelted the Department for Transport’s London HQ with paper...
