Serb president says new government could be formed on July 4

LAGONISSI (Greece), July 1 (RIA Novosti) - Serbia's new cabinet could be formed by July 4, President Boris Tadic said on Tuesday. Addressing reporters at the Socialist International congress in Greece, he said: "We will form a government this coming Friday, or possibly next Monday." Last week, Tadic proposed that Finance Minister Cvetkovic of the pro-Western Democratic Party become prime minister. Lawmakers are set to vote on his candidacy this week. The new government "will work hard to restore infrastructure and build a better, balanced society. These are our two main goals," Tadic said.
