One of his heroes, Ken Rosewall, played in a Wimbledon final when he was 39. Rosewall lost to Jimmy Connors in a blink but he was 12 years older than Little Lleyton. And the great Australian played in the US Open that year, too. So Hewitt is quite certain he has time on his side. We should not doubt that. Hewitt knows that Roger Federer, who beat him 7-6 6-2 6-4 in yesterday's fourth round of Wimbledon, will be 27 next month. Hewitt and Federer will be on equal footing in age if nothing else. Federer has defeated Little Lleyton the past 12 times they have met. It is not time that has passed Hewitt by but three players - Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
