Now that the primaries are over and the stages have been set, let’s revisit the Virginia Congressional races. I wrote my initial outlook three months ago, and surprisingly, with the dust cleared and the shape of each race more defined, not much has changed. Two of the three Democratic incumbents are unopposed, and the third is heavily favored. Meanwhile, attention on Republican incumbents seems to have whittled down to four races: VA-02, VA-05, VA-10, and VA-11. Of those, only Drake’s swing district and the open Fairfax/PWC seat will be the source of any real excitement.
