China, U.S. sign 10-year energy, environment framework

Source: Government of China Published Thursday, 19 June, 2008 - 08:48 China and the United States signed a 10-year energy and environment cooperation framework in Washington Wednesday after the two nations concluded their fourth round of Strategic Economic Dialogue, or SED. Speaking to reporters before the signing ceremony at the U.S. Treasury Department, visiting Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan said the deal was "a major achievement of the meeting," which will influence future bilateral economic cooperation and contribute to the sustainable development of the world.
