THE Barry & District News has joined forces with the Vale of Glamorgan Dog Warden Service to publicise the work of the area's kennels - and to find homes for some of its residents. Gigs is a seven-year-old black and white collie cross. Gigs is a very affectionate and loving dog, always pleased to see the kennel staff for his cuddles. He's not overly keen on other dogs so Croft is looking for a home where he would be the only dog. Croft Kennels at Bridgend is where the Vale's stray and unwanted dogs are cared for. The purpose-built kennels in Coity become the temporary home for all dogs picked up by the Vale of Glamorgan Council's Dog Wardens, until they are reunited with their families or adopted by new ones.
