Arsène Wenger says Emmanuel Adebayor stays at Arsenal

Arsène Wenger has poured scorn on AC Milan's attempts to sign Emmanuel Adebayor by saying they will be given short shrift if they even dare to utter the question. Adriano Galliani, the Milan vice-president, has named the Arsenal forward as one of the club's leading transfer targets along with Didier Drogba and Dimitar Berbatov, but Wenger insists the Togo striker is not for sale. “If AC Milan are interested, he's under a firm contract that we extended last year,” Wenger said. “They just have to call me and they'll get the answer they deserve.” Adebayor has three years remaining on a contract signed only last year, but his situation is complicated by the fact that he is seeking a pay rise after a magnificent season in which he scored 30 goals for Arsenal.
