Exploding supernova captured on camera in world first

A spectacular exploding supernova has been caught on camera for the first time by scientists. They spotted a burst of X-rays by chance while looking at another part of a distant galaxy, and managed to turn a variety of telescopes in the right direction just in time. [read full story]
