It was a competitive game match but lacked quality and invention Struggling Hull and Portsmouth claimed a point each after a competitive but uninspiring match at the KC Stadium. Pompey striker Aruna Dindane had the best chance but his 14-yard shot after the break was saved by Boaz Myhill. The Tigers keeper also made a one-handed save to deny Hassan Yebda while Tommy Smith shot wide early on and Jamie O'Hara missed a late free-kick. Hull were restricted to largely large-range efforts, although David James was quick off his line to deny Geovanni. The result means that Pompey remain bottom of the Premier League and have scored just five goals from 10 top-flight games.
