Chico man convicted of slaying wife 8 years ago

OROVILLE, Calif. — A Butte County jury has found a 46-year-old man guilty of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of his wife more than eight years ago. Clinton Egbert of Chico faces up to 40 years to life in prison for killing Tami Egbert, whose body was found on Feb. 19, 2000, at the bottom of an elevated roadway.
