Raiwind congregation starts

Saturday, October 11, 2008 By Our Correspondent LAHORE THE first phase of the annual Raiwind congregation of Tableeghi Jamaat began near Raiwind on Friday and will conclude on Sunday (tomorrow) after Zohr prayers. Since last year, the three-day annual convention has been divided into two phases of three days each due to administrative and security reasons since the number of participants had overgrown the space and facilities possible in that small area and has been posing difficulties for the last few years. The second phase of the convention will start from Friday (October 17) and conclude on next Sunday. For this purpose, people coming from various districts of Pakistan have been divided into two groups and asked to come in two phases.
