Robson backs Giggs for Manchester United coaching role

Bryan Robson has backed Ryan Giggs to follow Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's lead and take on a coaching role at Manchester United once his playing days are over. Giggs has spent 18 years at United but his current contract is due to expire at the end of the season and there have been suggestions that Sir Alex Ferguson will offer the veteran winger a one-year extension in the new year. Ferguson has used Giggs sparingly this season and admitted recently that the 34-year-old's days of tearing up and down the wing for United are over and that he would be used in a more central role from now on.
