NewarkAdvocate.com staff report • October 9, 2008 HEBRON — One lane of traffic on Interstate 70 east has been reopened after a tanker truck rollover this afternoon, an Ohio Highway Patrol spokeswoman confirmed. Traffic on the road has been backed up for more than three hours after the incident, in which a tanker truck carrying gasoline or another light petroleum product flipped and rolled over twice, rupturing the tank and pinning the driver inside. Authorities in the area estimate it will take about an hour to clear the clogged traffic from U.S. 40. The truck rolled off a ramp from Interstate 70 to Ohio 79, shutting down the eastbound lanes and forcing traffic off at Ohio 37, the patrol reported.
