Wild cat on the prowl in DHA

Friday, October 10, 2008 By our correspondent Karachi An endangered wild cat (also known as Water Cat) escaped from a bungalow in the Sea View area, creating panic among the residents of surrounding localities. The house from which it escaped was later raided and was found to be housing other endangered animals too. Till last report, the wild cat could not be located and recaptured. Upon hearing reports about the presence of the animal in the area, the police instantly informed the Sindh Wildlife Department (SWD) officials who sent a team, headed by Karachi Game Warden Shahabuddin, to the location. Earlier reports and eyewitness accounts had relayed that the animal was a tiger.
