Windy and cooler through the weekend We’ll feel fall today. A major change in the weather pattern will bring a blustery blast of Canadian air to the north state starting through the weekend. Afternoon temperatures will struggle to hit the lower-mid 70s today and may stay stuck in the 60s Friday and Saturday. Normal high temperatures in Redding are 82 degrees for today’s and Friday’s dates, and 81 degrees for Saturday’s and Sunday. Redding Municipal Airport reported a rather mild 60 degrees just before 5 a.m., thanks to winds keeping the atmosphere well mixed and cold air from pooling at the surface. We probably won’t see the steep temperature curve today we saw Tuesday, when the temperature leaped from a low of 52 degrees to a high of 87 degrees (several degrees higher than predicted, by the way).
