'I love my girl, I'd never ever hurt her'

NRL star Greg Bird today vehemently rejected accusations that he hit his girlfriend with a glass. "I strongly deny the allegations that have been made against me," Bird said ouside Downing Centre local court in Sydney. "I love my girlfriend. I'd never hurt her, never ever." The Cronulla Sharks, Australia and New South Wales five-eighth was charged with one count of maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm after allegedly glassing Katie Milligan in the face on August 24 at his Cronulla apartment, in Sydney's south.
