Sullivan explains vote switch

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A flurry of conflicting information about a $700 billion financial bailout bill prompted U.S. Rep. John Sullivan to switch sides several times during a roll call before finally voting no, according to Sullivan. When the House roll call began on Monday, Sullivan initially voted no on the controversial proposal, switched to yes and then, before the gavel came down, switched back to no, the Tulsa World reported from its Washington bureau. "It was almost like an auction," said the Oklahoma Republican, who has said he will vote for the amended version passed by the Senate. "It is important to remember this is all happening very quickly.
